Walpurgis Valley
Beautiful side valley of the Ruhr Valley with the course of the Rellinghauser Mühlenbach stream
Like many other valleys in Essen, the Walpurgis Valley with the Rellinghauser Mühlenbach stream stretches right into the city. Old half-timbered houses and the original nature were intentionally retained close to the metropolis. A beautiful contrast which is wonderful to experience. During the era of reform architecture, an attempt was also made in this city district to combine nature and city – demonstrated by green areas, front gardens and views over the Schellenberg Woods.

From the Zeche Ludwig stop
100 m to the green area
Turn right into Kaninenberghöhe until the Steele-Werden east trail is on the left which takes you into Walpurgis Valley
