Walpurgistal (40)

Beautiful side valley of the Ruhr Valley with the course of the Rellinghauser Mühlenbach stream
  • Like many other valleys in Essen, the Walpurgis Valley with the Rellinghauser Mühlenbach stream stretches right into the city. Old half-timbered houses and the original nature were intentionally retained close to the metropolis. A beautiful contrast which is wonderful to experience. During the era of reform architecture, an attempt was also made in this city district to combine nature and city – demonstrated by green areas, front gardens and views over the Schellenberg Woods.
