ThyssenKrupp Quartier (26)

Company headquarters on the landscaped quarter land, "Allee der Welten" along the generously created water axis
  • The newly constructed ThyssenKrupp headquarters at the old traditional site was and is a great gain for Essen. It was built to the design of the architects' office, Chaix & Morel et Associés, Paris, and JSWD Architekten und Partner, Cologne, who emerged as winners from an international architects' competition. The "Allee der Welten" – the 68 planted trees include 15 tree species from five continents – is particularly impressive. With this avenue, the ThyssenKrupp Group is aiming to highlight its internationality and global character.
