With the tram you can travel without traffic jams or parking worries from one green site to the next!
The NaturLinie 105 travels daily and throughout the year as one of the Ruhrbahn scheduled services and you can get on and off at every stop. The route runs above ground and underground from Frintrop right to Rellinghausen; a journey takes about 40 minutes.
But please take time to get on and off – it's well worthwhile! You should be a good walker because the journey with the NaturLinie 105 is not a city tour by public transport but a journey of discovery you put together yourself.
Tram stop signs
At every stop on the NaturLinie 105 from where a particular nature site can be reached tram stop signs or notice boards in railway station display cases provide information on the direction you have to go and the distance..
You can obtain the NaturLinie 105 flyer at the Ruhrbahn customer centres at the main railway station and in Berliner Platz.
Children up to the age of six travel free of charge. Children of six and above require a child's ticket. The adult fare applies to 15-year-olds and over.
Perhaps you'd like to take your dog with you? If you have a valid ticket, your dog may travel with you free of charge at any time.
How much does it cost to take a bicycle?
To take a bicycle with you, you require alongside your regular ticket a ZusatzTicket (Additional Ticket) per journey and bike. If buses and trams are to be used on the same day for the return journey, the 4er ZusatzTicket (4-trip Additional Ticket) or the NRW Bicycle Day Ticket can also be used.
The following monthly tickets are exceptions:
Ticket2000, YoungTicketPLUS: Taking a bicycle with you in the selected area of validity is free of charge throughout the day (on working days after 7 p.m. as well as all day at weekends and on public holidays also in the extended area of validity in the respective region D North or D South).
BärenTicket, VRR-Semesterticket: Taking a bicycle with you in the respective region North or South is free of charge.
FirmenTicket, AzubiAbo: Taking a bicycle with you in the selected area of validity is free of charge.
It is worthwhile taking a bicycle with you – there are wonderful cycle paths along the NaturLinie 105. We recommend the new cycle route tickets of the city of Essen or the official trail tickets (Wanderkarte) of the city of Essen.
